48h in Venice
I visited the city for just 48 hours for @homofaber. The event brings together master craftsmen from around the world, connecting traditions from different countries and cultures, showing the public the impact and relevance of manual manufacturing in a world increasingly dominated by mass production. From Japanese potters to Italian glassmakers, from French embroiderers to African woodworkers, the exhibition reveals the diversity of artisanal practices around the world and their essential role in preserving cultural identity.
For me, the experience is not just about observing beautiful objects, but also about understanding the value of the human hand behind each piece. Of all the work I saw, I was particularly inspired by the porcelain flowers of artist Anna Volkova @porcelain.tulip.
In Venice, time seems to slow down. Everything is Art. The colors of the buildings. The gondolas. The canals that run through the narrow streets. The galleries every other door.
I also had time to surrender to the Italian lifestyle, so I ate the best ice cream with a chocolate-filled cone at @gelatogallonetto, and had a delicious dinner at the @venicevenicehotel restaurant - M'Arte.
I'm excited for what's to come. (Yes, there's a collection coming out soon.)
